City of Fairfax:

Reviewed plans and managed construction projects for roads, bridges, shopping centers, subdivisions, hotels and municipal buildings.

Civil Engineering Operations:

Goose Creek Water Treatment Plant:

Reviewed engineering consultants design for modification of old plant equipment. Reviewed contractor’s proposals, inspected construction, tested plant modifications; coordinate plant shutdown and startup for installation of modification projects. Operated a 12 MGD surface water treatment plant. 



Marine Engineering Operations:

Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (PATT):

Dredging of marine channels and port construction on the diesel electric suction hopper dredge Port-of-Spain II. Managed engineroom operations and maintenance of the motor ships MF Gelting, MV Tobago and MF Panorama and was promoted from Third Engineer to Second Engineer.

Supervised staff in the operation and maintenance of engine room. Maintained 9600 hp Wartsila Vasa main propulsion plant, electric generators and auxiliary equipment on an 1846 net tons, motor ferry.

M.V. Tobago:

Third Engineer, M.S. Tobago

Operate and maintain 5600 hp A.L.C.O. diesel main propulsion plant, electricity generators, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, air conditioning, bridge and deck equipment on a 1500 net tons motor ferry.

Third Engineer, M.S. Gelting

Operate and maintain 8800 hp M.W.M. diesel main propulsion plant, electricity generators, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, air conditioning, bridge and deck equipment on a 2494 net tons, motor ferry

Port of Spain II​

Third Engineer, Port-of-Spain II

Operate and maintain 3740 hp M.A. K. diesel main propulsion plant, electricity generators, dredge pumps, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, air conditioning, bridge and deck equipment on a 1181 net tons, 800 M.3 hopper, diesel electric suction dredge during the construction of marine channels and ports.

IRON & STEEL COMPANY OF TRINIDAD & TOBAGO (ISCOTT)

Millwright

Maintained: hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, cooling and heating systems for two 40 Megawatt Electric Arc furnaces on furnace floor, caster and rolling mill. Inert holds of ships with nitrogen gas for transportation of direct reduced iron (DRI)
